Casa Noha

A different way to look at the Sassi

Casa Noha is one of the most significant examples of private architecture in the Sassi, embellished in its interior by cornices and tuff carvings worked in the typical sobriety of the period and the urban context.

By the will of the heirs, in love with their land and wishing to share its history and beauty with the whole community, the House was donated to the FAI in 2004. In line with this aspiration, the Foundation has carried out a careful restoration and has designed an unprecedented and exciting multimedia journey that narrates the territory from different perspectives: from architecture to art history, from archeology to the history of cinema.

How to visit

The guided visit to Casa Noha is included into “Living in Matera among caves, residences, villages and traditions” experience.
