Day 1. Arrival in the area scheduled for late morning.
First stop of the day will be Rosignano, a small village of Monferrato located just 10 km from the town of Casale. Here the history and the aromas of this territory meet in a very special glass of wine, representative of the oldest local winemaking traditions: the “Grignolinodel Monferrato Casalese2016” produced by the company VICARA. This historic winery was born from the association of the three families Visconti, Cassinisand Ravizza, who will have the pleasure of accompanying us personally in the visit to the estate. At the end we will entry the cellars and taste the award-winning Grignolinoand other great classics of the company, including the “Monferrato Bianco DOC "Airales", based on Cortese, Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
Later we will move to Sala Monferrato and a typical lunch at the "Trattoria AntichiSapori". In the afternoon transfer to VignaleMonferrato, for the stop at the second company awarded by the “GamberoRosso Guide”. We will then cross the rows of the "Giulio Accorneroe figli" firm, where the "Barberadel Monferrato Giulin" 2015 was born. The Accornerofamily, today represented by Giulio, his wife Mariucciaand his son Ermanno, has been producing wine since 1897, cultivating with exclusively organic method the vineyards of "Ca 'Cima", for a total of 20 hectares. Here we will taste in particular the prestigious "Giulin2015", born from Barberagrapes in purity, with a characteristic ruby color and a particularly fruity aroma. We will also taste "La Berbardina",Freisawine, lighter and more aromatic, and the "BRIGANTINO", sweet and sparkling Malvasiaof Casorzo, perfect to combine with fruit and biscuits.

After breakfast we will move towards our third and last sop dedicated to the “Tre BicchieriPrize”, reaching the village of CastagnoleMonferrato. Here the "Montalbera" firm will be waiting for us with its award-winning "Laccento2016", Ruchèwine from CastagnoleMonferrato. The company, owned by the Morando family for six generations, expands in Monferrato and Langhe with 175 hectares of vineyards, of which 80% are grown in Ruchè, an ancient native wine. This is one of the largest firm on the territory of Monferrato and Piedmont. Here we can taste the family’s hobby-horse, "Laccento2016", with a ruby-purple color and an intense and persistent bouquet, reminiscent of rose and wild berries. After the tasting, we will move to Fubinefor typical lunch at the restaurant "Il Biancospino".
We will end the day with a stop at the historic villages of Moncalvoand Montemagno, ancient strongholds of the Marquis of Monferrato, still surrounded by medieval ramparts. In Moncalvo, in the silence of his churches, the paintings of the famous 17th century painter Guglielmo Caccia await us, as well as many shops of typical gastronomic and artisanal products, from Fassonabeef to truffles. In Montemagno, on the other hand, there’s a very scenic parish square and an imposing castle at the top of the village, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape.
We will have the pleasure of being guided within the three companies by the "landlords" in person, for an experience that will not only be to see and taste, but also to participate in the ritual of the birth of a great wine.
We will visit the firm Vicaraof Rosignano Monferrato, born from the association between three important families, which every day is renewed in the sign of 'love for this land; we will enter the company "Accornero" of Vignale Monferrato, and we will be surprised by how organic can be synonymous with quality and dedication; endless expanses of vineyards of the Montalbera Estate in Castagnole Monferrato will amaze us, here technology has embraced a tradition of six generations.
